LUKE’S ARCADE / FREE BROWSER GAME
Luke’s Longbow
A 3D archery game on a sunny medieval field below a castle. Draw the bow, hold steady, read the wind and let go. Every arrow flies with real physics: gravity pulls it down, air drag slows it and the wind pushes it sideways, more the further it goes. Hit a perfect shot and the camera rides the arrow in slow motion all the way into the gold. Free, no download, no account.
How to play
- Touch or click, then pull down to draw the bow. The ring around the sight fills as you draw; full means full power.
- At full draw, slide to aim and let go to shoot. Let go early and the arrow is slow and drops short.
- Do not hold too long: after a few seconds your arms get tired and the sight starts to sway.
- Watch the wind: the flag beside the range, the small flags on the targets and the wind gauge at the top all show it. Aim a little into the wind, more at long range.
- In modes with targets at different distances the sight shows range pins (10, 20, 30 m and more): put the pin for the distance on the target.
- On a computer: hold SPACE to draw, arrow keys or WASD to aim (hold SHIFT for fine aim), let go of SPACE to shoot. M mutes, Escape pauses.
Modes
- Target Range: Olympic rings 10 to 1 with an X ring, at 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 and 70 metres, ends of three arrows, stronger wind as you go and a 20 second shot clock in the final.
- Moving Targets: sliding, swinging and pop-up targets, balloons that drift up into the sky, apples on posts and an apple on a scarecrow’s hat, against the clock.
- Castle Siege: stand on the castle wall and stop waves of cartoon goblins, armoured knights, bat-winged imps and big ogres before they reach it. Hit them and they poof into a puff of smoke.
- Trick Shots: ring the bell, shoot through a hoop, split an arrow already in the gold like Robin Hood, and bank arrows off a steel shield around a wall.
- 2 Players: pass the bow. Take turns shooting ends of three arrows; the highest total after three ends wins, with a one-arrow shoot-off if it is a tie.
Stars and unlocks
Every level gives up to three stars. Stars open the next level, new modes and new arrows, from Ruby Fletch to the Golden Arrow. Your stars stay saved on your device.
Common questions
Is it free? Yes, free to play in your browser on phones and computers.
Is it scary or violent? No. The siege monsters are silly cartoons and simply vanish in a puff of smoke.
Does anything flash? No. Effects fade in and out gently and nothing flashes.
